In the ESL classroom I assisted in today, the students created presentations on art. They chose a piece of art from their culture and described how it related to their country. My favorite was a Chinese musical instrument called a xun, a wind instrument with three holes on each side.

My best friend, and artist, is going to China in May to create a series of ceramic pieces. I am putting a xun on my wish list of souvenirs to bring back for me.
